Commercials aside, QB Manning a 'SB50' fan favorite

We rank Tom Brady as the greatest SB performer of all-time in our @verizon#SuperBowl50Rank. — NFL on ESPN (@ESPNNFL) January 28, 2016

#SuperBowl50 is likely to be the last game of his career for #DenverBroncos QB #PeytonManning who will turn 40 in March. Even if he wins this game and retires, he will not likely crack the list of the top 5 Super Bowl QBs of all time. A win would give him two victories in four attempts. Here is his career RECORD.

Trump drives golf, too

Trump loves eminent domain for his casinos, towers& golf courses. Why would anyone want this land grabber as Pres? — Deport Trump (@Ursomonie) January 22, 2016
Trump National Golf Club, Los Angeles is a public golf club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California featuring a 7,242-yard course designed by Pete Dye and Donald J. Trump Signature Design. It is owned by Donald J. Trump.  Given Trump's current status as a legitimate candidate for the GOP nomination for President of the United States, only a few circles in the world are paying attention these days to his significant holdings and interest in the golf world.

The video below is dated from last July when Trump was visiting his course in Scotland.  That is just one of his frequent trips to the British Isles where, in the main, he is not as warmly received as he is in the United States.

Brady-Manning Matchup XVII

⚡️ "#Broncos pull out #Steelers wind, await #Pats in DEN for AFC Championship" — Mike Foxworth (@ALTALOMAN) January 18, 2016
Hashtag : #Rivalry

Note regarding above tweet: Of course, I meant to type WIN (not "wind"), but decided to leave the misprint because the game was unusually windy yesterday.

Peyton Manning (DEN) and Tom Brady (NE) have played each other sixteen times, and Brady leads the head-to-head series 11-5, although they are currently tied 5-5 over their last 10 meetings (which encompasses the past 10 seasons).

With his team down a touchdown late in the 1986 AFC Championship Game, Broncos quarterback John Elway led his team on "The Drive", a 98-yard touchdown drive to tie the game near the close and send it to overtime.

Concussion Movie Jolts NFL

It’s still bugging me. How come no national football announcer ever discusses the movie #Concussion? Isn’t that strange? — Larry King (@kingsthings) January 4, 2016

Just home after seeing the film, Concussion, with Will Smith, so I was curious about the real story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, about whom the movie is based.  What is amazing is that the trailer for movie is the number of views (as of this posting) are 642,589, but the Omalu video (below) has only some 3,951 views.  Despite his groundbreaking work, Dr. Omalu, as accomplished as he is, presents a fascinating picture of what unintentional celebrity brings.
