The west is won by the Angels

The 2014 edition of the Los Angeles Angels have achieved a goal that few outside of Anaheim had predicted.  Largely made up of unsung players outside of a smattering of superstars and led by a future hall of fame manager, the Angels have won the AL West for the first time since 2009.  A 5-year championship drought might be the envy of some major league cities, but the locals have been getting restless about the long absence of a title for the halos.
